Bye Bye Birdie

It's finals week. Just two more exams and 137 more hours of studying, then I will be done with my first semester. It's all good, I feel prepared.

During our after lunch quick walk today, Lola and I found a blue bird egg on the lawn. It's a robin egg. I picked the egg up and took it home.

Lola, on the other hand, has other agenda in her mind.

Scrambled or sunny-side up?

Neither.

I built a "nest" for it using a peatpot with some dirt on the bottom.

I put it on top of the fireplace (it's that little brown square next to the photo frames). Lola has her eyes on it since this morning.

Then I did some research, the chance of the egg hatching is 0.02%. Even the mama birdie knows, that's why she kicked it out of her nest.

We'll see.
